Al Pacino

Italian name, American Citizenship,Actor by profession,Famous by Godfather(movie),Oscar Award winner and and and....well thats all I know about Al Pacino. Heard that he is a very good actor but honestly I haven't watched any one of his movies.
He is in Ocean's thirteen but I watched Ocean's Eleven and twelve..I missed thirteen. Sorry Pacino.

SUNSCREEN

To protect yourself from the harsh sun rays or to protect your skin from getting tanned.To protect your complexion or to keep your skin tone as it is. To protect your base from a rash or to protect your face from the hard sun's lash. To keep your house cool or to keep away the heat from your car. In order to prevent ourselves from the hydrogen and helium gases,we need a protection....and that's none other than sunscreen.Sunscreen lotion for your skin, Sunscreen for your car, sunscreen for your house.
The conclusion is that in order to protect ourselves or our things from the hot sunshine we use Sunscreen.

"K" SERIALS-A BIG PAIN

The TV (K) serials on Star Plus are more X rated than the adult content on English channels such as AXN. The Information and Broadcasting minister and his cronies in the ministry who are supposedly keeping a check on the TV content should be watching the K serials and banning them rather than banning channels like AXN for airing adult content.

Its no rocket science or we do not need geniuses to tell us which channel is watched more Star Plus or AXN. AXN which gets a viewer ship of barely around 1 or 2 or even less is banned for two months for airing adult content and Ms Kapoor goes on and on with her derogatory dialogues, extra marital affairs and so on and so forth

Considering I write on the business of advertising I do watch TV regularly to find out whats happening in which channel. So I surf channels like one would surf the net. Over a period of time I realized one need not be glued to the TV screen to find out what happens in most of the entertainment channels especially the ones like Star Plus, Zee and Sony.

Yesterday as I was surfing I came across this serial Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. and was appalled. The dialogues cannot be any more derogatory that it already is. They are worse of than adult content. You actually have a daughter-in-law who is dressed like a Christmas tree and throwing a party in the house while one of her daughters or niece is in the hospital undergoing a kidney operation.

Then in Kyunki Saas Bhi the grand daughter is shown being so disrespectful to her grand mother. And the grandmother Tulsi who is considered to be this very strict mother, aunt, grand mother etc etc stands watching her granddaughter speak to her disrespectfully instead of giving her one tight slap. If this is the kind of content that is being aired on Star Plus then god only save the children and their parents.

The women in the K Serials are two extremes. One who is Extremely good and nave who every man would want to marry or have beside him and the other is the extreme bad one and vampish who every one would want to kill in the first instance.

For years the K serials have been continuing like this and today very conveniently it is concluded that this is what the audience want. Cheating the audience has become a norm in todays media world be it in television or in newspapers.

I think watching semi-nude men and women on channels like AXN and FTV is better off than watching the K serials. I guess most would agree with me. Channels such as Star Plus, Zee and Sony I guess have only pushed us generations backwards rather than bring in progression.

Another interesting point to note in the K Serials for all those watching them regularly is that when the story does not progress further then Ekta Kapoor's character will throw a lavish party with songs and dance. So one entire episode can carry along with out a story and the writer has enough time to think and create a plot that will work in the next episode.

My Experience with Bird Poop

Now this is the most exciting thing I have ever written in my life. Many years ago,when I was young..now that doesn't mean Iam very old today. When I was young means when I used to wear shorts as Iam wearing pants now. So, at that time our family used to stay in Gulf. I was on the way to take my passport photos to the nearest photo studio along with my Dad.
All of a sudden I hear a sound that was terrific.If asked to express in words the sound was "PAAAAT".My nostrils were buried with some odd smell.I thought, as we had a very heavy meal, may be unknowingly my Dad farted. But the answer was NO!It was a pigeon shit all over my head. Before I could move aside and give an angry glance to it, there came an another pigeon and ..you know what it did too.
The smell was so odd that I could not resist it. My Dad, instead of pampering me started laughing out loud. This increased my anger and I started crying.
Even though so many years have passed now, I still keep wondering, that what did that pigeon have for lunch, that its shit smelt so bad. Non veg, veg, leafy vegetables,boiled vegetables or what???But whatever it had it's shit was bad!!!!

THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN A SWORD

A writer is someone who has the ability to express his ideas and emotions on paper. This a gift and only few people are gifted with such art. Penning down ideas and imaginations is very difficult. You need to know what exactly is in your head, and pen it down in the exact way.

Writings can either be long or short writings. It’s the writer’s choice that in which way he wants to express his ideas. He can make a long essay of his ideas or can express in a short and crispy one line. But someway or the other he needs to express his views.

Selecting words that exactly fit into the writings is an important fact that the writer needs to look on. Choice of words, make the article either interesting or boring. If the words are easily understandable the article becomes interesting and the reader goes on till the end of it. But, at the same time if the words are difficult to understand, it makes the reader yawn and scratch his head.

Writing is just as important as reading. You can not do one without doing the other. A writer has a very unique gift in being able to share experiences and ideas with others in such a creative and entertaining way using only words. Writing is a talent that can be developed and can be mastered.

For some, writing is very difficult. On the other hand, words can flow from your mind faster than you can write them. Writing can take you into so many different directions. It's like walking down a street where the streetlights have all gone out. This is a reality with many writers. Driving blindly on a piece of paper, many writers have no idea where they are going or what they are going to end up with. Writing demands a lot creativity and patience because of this factor.
